We would like to express our sincere respect for the dedication and hard work, to all the colleagues who are struggling in the field for patients, even in challenging situations that it is difficult to focus only on treatment and research due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. We sincerely hope that the current situation will be resolved as soon as possible, and we wish wellness and happiness to all the colleagues.

It is our great pleasure to invite you to attend the 10th Seoul International Congress of Endocrinology and Metabolism in conjunction with the 41st Annual Scientific Meeting of Korean Endocrine Society (SICEM 2022), to be held on October 27(Thu)-29(Sat), 2022, in both offline at Kimdaejung Convention Center, Gwangju and online as a hybrid congress.

The SICEM provides a platform of education and exchange of recent advances in endocrinology to endocrinologists, trainees, medical students, and members of treatment teams from across the globe. The hallmarks of the congress are a broad range of outstanding hands-on learning opportunities and discussions on the most recent developments in research, along with unparalleled access to peers, mentors, and expertise from all parts of the world, which leads SICEM to a must-attend endocrine conference in Asia.

The organizing committee, in cooperation with our integrated research groups (Bone, Thyroid, Diabetes, Adrenal Gland, Obesity, Pituitary, and every part), is planning an outstanding and stimulating scientific program. The congress will address training needs and equip teams with the skills required to achieve the best outcomes in our ever-changing environment. An exciting series of named lectures will be delivered by world-renowned experts in their respective fields. The program will focus on the acquisition of knowledge and skills through best practices in education and training methods. More than 50 sessions on topics will be offered. The scientific program will include research oral presentations and posters.

2022 is a meaningful year that the Korean Endocrine Society celebrates its 40th anniversary and SICEM for 10th anniversary. Despite the continuing difficulties of COVID-19, the committee prepares SICEM 2022 for our colleagues to satisfy academic thirst for new knowledge, and recent advances in each area. Under the slogan of ‘40 Years Together, New Leap Forward!’, SICEM 2022 will be held in a hybrid format. Even if the worldwide pandemic makes it difficult to attend a conference in person, we firmly believe that our passion for research can overcome these limitations. We look forward to meeting you at the conference both online and offline.
